Student Leaders

At Whangārei Boys’ High School, our two Head Boys, supported by two Deputy Head Boys, are elected by both staff and students to lead with mana and integrity.

These young men are chosen not simply for visibility but for their character, work ethic, and genuine care for others. They set the tone for the school and carry significant responsibility on behalf of the brotherhood they represent.

Their leadership is practical and visible. It requires early mornings, consistent presence, and a willingness to serve rather than be served.

Wearing the leadership badge is both an honour and a responsibility. Our Head Students wear it with pride and humility, understanding that leadership at WBHS is not about status, but about service, respect, and lifting those around them. Through their actions each day, they model our school values and show what it means to lead with purpose.

These young men stand in a long line of WBHS leaders who have gone before them, carrying the anchor forward and setting a standard for those who will follow.
