International education in New Zealand is governed by the Education (Pastoral Care of International Learners) Code of Practice, which sets out clear standards for the care and support of international students. Whangārei Boys’ High School is a signatory to this Code and meets all required obligations.
Dispute Resolution Scheme (DRS)
If an international student has a concern or complaint that cannot be resolved directly with the school, they have the right to access the Dispute Resolution Scheme (DRS). This is a free and independent service that helps resolve complaints about pastoral care or services provided to international students.
