Kōtuku ki te Rangi, named after the rare white heron symbolising truth, purity and high aspirations, is a whānau-led support group at Whangārei Boys’ High School. Open to all whānau of tamariki Māori, it partners with the school to drive academic and cultural success, strengthen home-school relationships, and ensure Māori voice, language, culture and identity are valued. Meetings are held every second Tuesday at 5:30 pm in the WBHS staff room. Nau mai, haere mai where everyone is welcome; together, with whānau support, our rangatahi can achieve anything.
