Old Boys’ Association

Whangārei Boys’ High School Old Boys’ Association

The WBHS Old Boys’ Association is the kaitiaki of our school’s legacy. It exists to protect, uphold, and pass on the stories, values, and traditions that define the WBHS brotherhood.

Our Old Boys are valued stakeholders in the life of the school. They remain connected to the kura that helped shape them and continue to give back through service, advocacy, mentorship, and support for future generations.

Every student who has the privilege of joining the WBHS brotherhood becomes part of an unbroken chain. On leaving school, that chain does not end. It is carried forward. As Old Boys, they add their own chapter to our shared story, strengthening the legacy they once inherited and now help protect for those who follow.

Anchored in brotherhood. Anchored in excellence.

Venerable Old Boys

A number of people deserve the acknowledgement and respect of the WBHS Old Boys’ Association for the support they have provided to the School and the Association over the years. The Association formally acknowledges these people through the Venerable Old Boys’ Club.

Fallen Old Boys

The Whangārei Boys’ High School Old Boys’ Association honours and remembers those Old Boys who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

They were once students of this kura, part of the WBHS brotherhood, and they carried its values beyond the school gates and into service of their country and communities. Their commitment came at the highest cost.

These brothers gave their tomorrow for our today. We remember them with deep respect, gratitude, and responsibility. Their names, their stories, and their service remain forever part of the legacy we carry forward.

Lest we forget.
