WBHS Blue – 1 vs Mangapai Black – 3 (Loss)
WBHS 1st XI travelled to Auckland to play Auckland Grammar School on Monday and and lost 5-3.
Badminton
NSSSA Badminton Individual Championships was held last week and WBHS cleaned up with Carter Wu 1st, Tristan Fewtrell 2nd and Isaac Hong 3rd.
Squash
Two WBHS teams travelled to Auckland to compete in the NZSS Squash Championships. Congratulations Team 1: Freddie Jameson, Flynn Venmore, Josh Laing, Zac Laing, Luca Smith and Tane Traill placed 1st overall with a convincing score of 5-0 in all matches.
WBHS 2nd team placed 11th overall, congratulations to Rishi Ghosh, Jamie Greatorex, Ollie Maunder, Nahuel Raccioppi, Will Burgess and Dylan Goldsmith-Wiperi
Basketball
On the 30th of July WBHS Basketball team travelled down to Sacred Heart College which is a top school in Auckland for basketball, and WBHS won 86-79.
Also, J-Lee Clark, Lee Hewson and Jaxsyn Whare-Cullen have been chosen for the Northland Premier U13 Basketball team and Te Aho Karanga-Smith has been chosen for the Northland A Team.

WBHS Bricks – 51 played Jedi – 21 (Win)
WBHS Buckets – 27 played Pompallier – 45 (Loss)
MotoCross
Liam Grose competed in all 3 rounds of the motocross NZ Battle of the Schools MX Series
Liam received a 4th, and two 5th placings and came away 2nd overall for the 15-19 year 240 class
Riley Perris and Jayden Berridge competed in the final round and Riley placed 2nd followed by Jayden 3rd for the day.
With this Whangarei Boys High School placed 1st Overall for the whole series receiving the trophy.
