A warm welcome to Whangārei Boys’ High School.
We are an internationally recognised Boy’s School built on a vibrant history and strong traditions which have consistently enabled Northland’s young men, and those of other regions and countries, to have been educated to high academic and sporting standards since 1881. With our eyes trained firmly on the future, our innovative methods and curriculum continue to build on the honourable traditions of our history.
We focus on constantly improving outcomes for each of our students so our boys progress into the working world with relevant qualifications and clear choices for their futures. Whangārei Boys’ High School insists every student reaches his full potential in each learning arena, from the classroom to the sports field, and on the stage.
Our school culture is strongly student-centred with prime focus on holistic development. The needs of young people continually evolve and our curriculum reflects both current and future student requirements. The school currently has 1400 boys enrolled, made up of vital young men from Whangārei District.
We value our robust relationships with the wider community and take pride in our richly diverse school community. We are fortunate to enjoy high levels of parent-community engagement. Their support encourages all our students to succeed. In partnership with our students and whānau, we are honoured to support the successful advancement of our valued fine young men through Whangārei Boys’ High School.
