Hockey – Tanner Cup
WBHS YR 9 & 10 Hockey Team Congratulations to our Under 15 Hockey team, silver medalists in the Tanner Cup! The final was very even with both teams creating a number of scoring opportunities. New Plymouth Boys’ High School won the Tanner Cup in 2023.
Hockey – Warner Shield Tournament
WBHS won 2-1 against Christ’s College from Christchurch.

NZSS Rogaining Championship
Oscar Ruffell and Alex Watson travelled to Marlborough Sounds to compete in the Rogaine Championship and placed 8th overall.
NSSSA Cross Country
The Senior Boys race was a 6km run through a very muddy Barge Park. Oscar Ruffell placed 5th, Tai Pullen 6th, Tommy Earl 8th and Mason Gray 10th
The Junior Boys race was a 4km run. Rhys Jones placed 1st with a time of 15 mins 22 seconds and Zac Raine placed 8th.
Football
Congratulations to Year 13 Prefect and Poutama Whānau Captain Jackson West, playing in the NZ Māori Men’s Football team. Jackson went on his senior international debut for Maori Football NZ against the Australian Indigenous Football team on the Gold Coast. Great to see our local players achieving international selection. Well done again Jackson.
