NSSSA Clay Target Shooting #4
A group of WBHS headed off to the Dargaville Gun Club to compete in their 4th competition for the season. The weather was great and there were some very close scores and interesting results with two teams shooting off for 1st and 2nd placings. WBHS Team 1 and Huanui both shot 399 and WBHS won the shoot off placing them 1st. WBHS Team 2 and Tauraroa Area School both shot 381 points and WBHS took out the 3rd place beating Tauraroa Area School.

NSSSA Badminton Individual Championships
Kun Er Zhang, Carter Wu, Boston Stanaway, Grant Campbell and Jack Barton-Smith competed in the NSSSA Badminton Championships last Thursday. Kun Er and Carter played off together in the grand final and Kun Er won narrowly. It was a fantastic game to watch. Boston won the plate final. Congratulations boys.
NZSS Squash
WBHS had two teams travel to Tauranga to compete in the NZSS Squash tournament. WBHS Team 1 placed 2nd in New Zealand, congratulations to Freddie Jameson, Maz Saunders, Flynn Venmore, Campbell Griffin, Josh Laing and Josh Smith. The boys won the semi finals against Marlborough College and went through to the final to play Tauranga Boys’ High School, beating us narrowly.
WBHS Team 2 played really well and gained a lot of experience playing some tough competition and placed 21st overall. Congratulations to Rishi Ghosh, Jamie Greatorex, Ollie Maunder, Nahuel Racioppi, Tane Traill and Luca Smith.
