WBHS 1st XV played Rosmini 1st XV at WBHS. WBHS won 33-18

Hockey Results

WBHS 1st XI – 1 played Springfield – 4 (Loss)

WBHS 2nd XI – 0 played Springfield – 6 (Loss)

Collegiate

WBHS Gold – 9 played WGHS 1 – 0 (Win)

WBHS Black – 0 played Pompallier – 2 (Loss)

WBHS Yellow – 4 played HoraHora Red – 1 (Win)

WBHS Blue – 5 played Dargaville Mixed 1st XI – 0 (Win)

WBHS Carruth – 2 played Tauraroa 1st XI – 1 (Win)

Northland U18 Hockey selections

Congratulations to the following boys who have been selected for the U18 Northland Hockey Team: Ben Murray, Harrison Cochrane, Hayden Ganley, Joe Trigg, Josher Werder, Ranger Stockley and Solomon Haenga-Plank.

NZ Secondary Schools Gymnastics

Brendan Marais and Hayden Smith competed in the NZSS Gymnastics Champs held in Auckland over the weekend. Brendan placed 5th overall in Level 8 category and Hayden was 3rd overall in Level 7 category. Level 1 is the start and levels go up to 9 followed by the Senior open.

Surfing

U14 Boys Final – 1st Cohen Graham, 3rd Indy Chave and 4th Kauai Rahui

U16 Boys Final – 1st Izaak Hayes, 2nd Cooper Ashill and 4th Tai Martin

U18 Boys Final – 4th Max Eilering

Orienteering

Ben Blagrove, Brody Blagrove, Coby Jones, Hugh Manson, Louis Moore, Tai Pullen, Brock Reid and Jack Saunders travelled to Springbank School, Kerikeri and competed successfully against Springbank, Otamatea and Huanui Schools. Jack Saunders placed 1st, Tai Pullen 2nd and Brody Blagrove 3rd in the individual races and WBHS placed 1st in the teams race. 

Volley-Fest

WBHS had 10 teams competing along with most Northland Secondary Schools. A huge crowd gathered at Kensington Stadium and a fun day all round.
