NSSSA Tennis
Last week of Term 1 a group of students competed in the Tennis
tournament Alex Watson and Thomas Powell lost in the semi’s placing
them 2nd in the Championship.
Harper Gray won the Cup Division.
Hockey
WBHS 1st XI Hockey team travelled to Hamilton in the holidays for the
ANZAC Hockey Tournament.

WBHS – 5 played Napier Boys’ High School – 1
WBHS – 2 played Palmerston North Boys’ High School – 0
WBHS – 2 played Hamilton Boys’ High School – 1
WBHS – 0 played Auckland Grammer – 1
Sailing
Jimi Baker, Oscar Buckland, Tayne Haag, Thomas Powell and Liam
Townsend competed in the Sailing Team Racing Nationals in the
holidays at Algies Bay, Warkworth, in the holidays and placed 14th.
Go Carts
Cody Noble travelled to Palmerston North to compete in the 2023
National Sprint Championships at Easter Weekend and placed 17th
overall.
Swimming
Ry Luff and Te Mana Atutolu attended the NZ Short Course
Championships in the holidays:
Ry Luff (15yr) – 3rd in the 200m Fly, 5th in the 400m Ind Medley and 7th
in the 200m Breaststroke

Te Mana Atutolu (15yr) – 5th in the 50m Freestyle, 5th in the 100m
Freestyle, 14th in the 100m Backstroke, 19th in the 50m Backstroke and
25th in the 50m Fly.
