Squash
Josh and Zac Laing, Tane Traill, Boston Morgan, Jamie Greatorex and Rishi Ghosh travelled to Wellington to attend the NZSS Squash
Championships. WBHS beat Westlake Boys’ Highs to be placed 5th in NZ. Zac Laing has been named for the NZ Junior side to play
Australia in 2 weeks time.
Clay Target Shooting
In muddy but fine conditions, the Clay Target Team achieved success in their fourth round of Secondary School competition, held at the
Northern Wairoa Clay Target Club. With a perfect shooting day, there was some exceptional shooting. Many disciplines had to hold a ‘shoot
off’ to determine the placings.
The No. 1 team consisted of Sean Richmond (captain), Cruz Ogle, Finius Ashby, Seth de Goey, Kevin Neumann. A composite team included Kaden Ashby, Blake Wright, Tommy Short and Tate Currie. The DTL (Down The Line) placings were as follows:

NZSS Trampoline
Liam Townsend and Anise Bahrinipour competed in the NZSS Trampoline Championships held in Auckland.
Anise placed 4th overall in the Mens 13-14 year olds.
Liam placed 1st overall in the Men’s 17+ Double Mini Trampoline and 2nd overall in the Men’s 17+ Trampoline.
Liam and Anise have been selected to represent Northland at the National Gymnastics Championships in Palmerston North in October.
Motocross
The weather added to the challenges, with pouring rain, gale force winds and freezing conditions. The wind made it challenging but the boys
finished the day in one piece and put on some epic racing with 12 schools entered.
