Sports Results – Term 1 Week 7

FUTSAL TOURNAMENT UNDER 19

WBHS Yellow team won the tournament against Bream Bay. Congratulations: Jackson West, Athan Thompson, Blake Beardsell, Fergus Davidson, Jack Barton-Smith, Ryan Barnes and Boston Himiona.

WBHS Gold team placed 3^rd and WBHS Black placed 4^th. Great day all round.

SURFING COMPETITION

 NSSSA Surfing Competition at Sandy Bay saw a building swell and strong onshore winds all day. The conditions were not always easy but the surfers persevered and some talent shone through.

Under 14 Boys: Kauai Rahui 1^st, Indy Chave 2^nd, Cohen Graham 3^rd and Will Burgess 4^th

Under 16 Boys: Cooper Ashill 1^st, Izaak Hayes 2^nd and Asher O’Donnell 4th  

RUGBY-  Preseason Game

WBHS beat Kerikeri Under 18’s – 36-28.

RUGBY LEAGUE

WBHS beat Kamo High School in the semi-final 46 – 18. Congratulations WBHS who are in the final against Kaitaia College.

CYCLING

Trevor Coetzee competed in the Tour of Northland. On day 1 the race started at Kensington to Russell cycling 104km, day 2 from Russell to Opononi 89km, day 3 from Opononi to Dargaville 83km then from Dargaville back to Kensington 83km, on the last day.

Trevor competed against some top NZ cyclists and placed 44^th in U19 category.

Tai Martin – 2^nd in 200m

Lucas Rule – 3^rd in 200m and 3^rd in 400m
