Hockey
Whangārei Boys High School U15 team played in Hamilton for the Tanner Cup, an annual invitational event hosted at St Paul’s Collegiate. Results have seen the team with 3 wins, against Wellington College, Tauranga Boys and Cambridge High School, and 2 losses.
While they were gutted to miss out on top 8 due to two very strong teams in their pool, they played Christ College in the plate final placing 9th.

Rugby 1st XV – Saturday 6th July
WBHS 1st XV – 25 played Mahurangi College – 5

Clay Target
Auckland and Waikato Secondary Schools Clay Target Sports Association event:
Junior Boys:
Single Rise – 9th= Kevin Neumann with 17/20
Single Barrell – 8th= Kaden Ashby with 8/10
Senior Boys:
Points Score – 9th= Sean Richmond with 56/60
North Island Secondary Schools Clay Target Championship:
Senior Boys
Single Rise – 10th Cruz Ogle with 20/20 and then in a shoot off, hitting seven clays before dropping out.

WBHS 1st XI -7 vs Otamatea High School – 1

League
Congratulations to the following boys who represented our region by playing in the North Island Districts Tournament down in Rotorua in the U14 Northern Swords Rugby League team.
Noera Waata, Tobias Apoua, Charles Murray-Pitts, Harlyn Parry, Corey
Tarau-Fox, Quintyn Mahanga-Edmonds, Luca Toa, Tyler Curnow, Dane Gunson, Israel Sofala and Reef Turner
They ended the tournament with second place – final score 8-4 to the Bay of Plenty Lakers
