1st XI Hockey Team
WBHS 1st XI Hockey team travelled to Hamilton for a tournament and played some good but hard games against Hastings Boys’ High, Palmerston North Boys’ High, Wellington College, New Plymouth Boys’ High and Hamilton Boys’ High. WBHS had some close games and came home with some amazing experience to head into the Northland season.
NISS Orienteering Championships
Oscar Ruffell and Jack Saunders competed in the Orienteering event held at the Massey University Campus and Farm in Palmerston North. They competed against 23 other North Island Secondary Schools and did very well.
Sport Northland Kauri Trust Grants
This Grant is available to up and coming young sportspeople who are competing at a high level. So it is an honor to be selected.
Trevor Coetzee has been selected for cycling.
Hayden Smith has been selected for Artistic Gymnastics.
Hayden Ganley has been selected for Hockey. Congratulations boys.
NZ Secondary Schools Sailing
WBHS students competed in the National Sailing Championship Regatta at Algies Bay. They placed 9th overall which is a great result for the following boys:
Otis Cobb, Marino Fischer, Brendan Pol, Thomas Powell, Hayden Smith, Josh Smith, Luca Smith and Liam Townsend.

Fiti Leau qualified at Crossfit online to attend the next level in Australia. Well done Fiti.
