Sports Results for Term 1 Week 10 and Holidays
NSSSA Volleyball Championships and Cup Tournament
WBHS entered a team in the Championship and a team in the Cup. The A Team had a few hard games but made it to the semi finals to play Bay of Islands College. It was a very close tussle but WBHS lost 15-13 in the 3rd set. They then played TKW in the 3rd/4th playoff and won, placing them 3rd overall. Great setting by Noah Marsh and some stand out middle play from Finn Hammond and Shine Manukau. Xavier Tenboom was incredibly athletic around the court and played hard. Tawhai Lawrence really stepped up and showed he is a player with a bright future. Well done team.
The B team ended up not having their usual full team due to last minute casualties but they managed to play well together and placed 3rd in the Cup Competition. Great sportsmanship B team.
