Enrolment interviews for all schools will take place at Whangarei Boys’ High School in the hall on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 August starting at 9:00am, the last appointment being 4:45pm.
Catch up day will be Monday 4 November 9:00am – 4:45pm
Parent/caregiver and student are required at this interview. Please bring a copy of the following: latest school report, birth certificate or passport, proof of address, court / custody order if applicable. If you do not have NZ residency we will need to sight passports, student visa, and work permit documentation.

Baseline data for all students will be collected during the first week of Term 1, 2020. This week of school is designed to facilitate the transition into secondary school. It will be a Year 9 induction week, with Year 13 being the only other year level attending on the first day and Prefects only on the Wednesday and Thursday in order to support the new Year 9s.
All junior classes are mixed ability groups with differentiation integrated into the learning activities. The make-up of these classes is based on a combination of the above data, school report, teacher feedback and enrolment interview. The more information we have the better, to enable us to best meet the needs of your son.
Orientation Day at WBHS:
Friday 15 November (for Whangarei Intermediate School, Kamo Intermediate School and Hostel students)
Monday 18 November (for all other schools) 9.15 – 12.30
All students who have completed the enrolment process will receive a confirmation of enrolment email or letter with detailed information about the start of their secondary schooling at Whangarei Boys’ High School, together with a stationery list.
